RideAmigos was born in New York City, as our Co-Founder, Jeffrey Chernick, was trying to find a more efficient way to get uptown to work each day. Coupled with a passion for environmental and community health, Jeffrey’s daily commuting challenge blossomed into an opportunity to change the way people moved around the city. With his childhood friend, Evan Meyer, he founded a company focused on helping people share more rides and take cars off the road. Soon after, Ben Dalton joined as third co-founder and CTO.
Since then, RideAmigos has gone from building some of the earliest web-based ride matching tools to offering a suite of cloud commute management solutions, programs, and apps used by regional agencies, transportation management organizations, and some of the world’s top employers.
Through it all, we have built a mission-focused and research-driven company where people flourish and innovation and commuter-centered design is a way of life.
We are a global team of people passionate about sustainable mobility for all.
