The City of Austin, a finalist in the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Smart City Challenge, had a plan for shifting the commuting behavior of city employees. They just needed a platform to bring their plan to life. They turned to RideAmigos, and the results have been impressive.

Highlight: The City of Austin offered employees the ability to join a program to earn administrative leave (paid time off) for choosing smarter commutes. In the first six months, nearly 1,300 City of Austin employees opted into the program resulting in about 380 tons of CO2 emission reductions and $800,000 in savings.
